Apremont

Apremont is a village of Savoy where natural wealth attracted as much as its ancient heritage, typical of the region.

Former castle of the thirteenth century, the castle of Apremont once stood on a rocky hill above Apremont-le-Gaz, hamlet Apremont. He controlled the crossroads of routes from the Dauphiné until Savoie. It remains today the remains that we can still admire.

The National Nature Reserve of Hauts de Chartreuse is an opportunity for visitors to Apremont discover the local fauna and flora. Classified in 1997, member of the Natura 2000 network, it is more than 4400 hectares and presents landscapes mountain or alpine type. Potholing lovers will be delighted by the wealth of underground networks while hunting enthusiasts, hiking, paragliding or ski touring or snowshoeing will delight in this beautiful site.

The cascade of Pichut is another great natural site of the municipality of Apremont. It measures thirty meters high and five meters wide and is part of the SSSI, Natural Area of ​​Ecological Interest, Fauna and Flora 180 hectares classified present in the town.

In the heart of the village of Vine and Wine Savoie house is a meeting place for wine lovers. Since 2007, several rooms offer exhibitions, places of sale or tasting or wine courses. This unique space allows winemakers in the region to improve the daily quality of AOC wine Apremont.

The village regularly hosts St. Vincent in January, one of vintners festival changes location each year.

The weekend of May 1, various cellars, some of Apremont, are open doors for the wine festival.

The penultimate weekend in July, a gourmet tour that allows to appreciate the wines and dishes of Savoie.
