Vau de Quip's manor house is located in the town of Allaire, in Morbihan, 10 km west of Redon.
It was built from the 5th to the 7th century, built on behalf of Guillaume de Bogier, financial advisor to the Duke of Brittany François II. Redesigned, it then belonged to different noble families before becoming the center of a farm in the course of the twentieth century. Listed in the supplementary inventory of Historical Monuments, it presents a classic Breton style and in addition to the main building (that is to say the manor), which overlooks a pond, the site also includes a garden surrounded by walls, a chapel, stables and outbuildings.
This beautiful complex in the heart of a bucolic environment is open to guided tours from mid-July to the end of August (chapel, outbuildings, entrance and large medieval room of the manor). Mandatory reservation. Price: 5 euros. Information on +33 2 99 71 80 91.
