Listed as an historic monument, the castle of the viscounts of Limoges is located at Aixe-sur-Vienne, in Haute-Vienne. A former fortified castle also called Jeanne d'Albret's castle, it was demolished at the beginning of the 19th century, and its walls were used as quarries at the same time.
Forbidden access, the site of the Viscounts of Limoges castle still unveils the remains of a well carved into the rock, an octagonal enclosure, a tower with flat buttresses, two buildings, a farmyard and a Chapel.
