Aiglun

Located at more than 600 meters of altitude, the chapel Saint-Jean was built between the 11th and the 12th century. It still reveals an altarpiece of the seventeenth century archaic style listed Historical Monuments. Today in ruins, the site is now accessible through many rural roads restoration campaigns. You can take the path of the Old Aiglun on the side of the town hall that will lead you to the highest point of the town, and the old village abandoned in the twentieth century.

Built in the 17th century in Villeneuve, Aiglun is a large house with turrets. It is home to the Clinique des Charmes since the 1930s. In the heart of the old center, it is also possible to see some small remains of the old castle, in the midst of the houses of the seventeenth century.

Do not miss to admire the 16th century Sainte-Marie-Madeleine church, which hosts several concerts in the year, or to visit the old Napoleon Road bridge.

Several hiking trails marked by the Geological Reserve of Haute Provence can appreciate all the tourist sites in the area.
