Village located at the gates of Tarn, not far from the famous viaduct of Millau, Aguessac takes place in the Aveyron, about sixty kilometers from Rodez.
The one that marks the entrance to the southern part of the Massif Central was born during the Merovingian period. The village housed, at this time, a very important money factory. Small town not fortified in the Middle Ages, it is hard hit by the wars of Religion, undermining its heritage.
Today, Aguessac is an important crossroads of southern Aveyron, appreciated for its authentic charm as well as for its calm environment. A paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, the town offers a wide range of hiking and mountain biking trails to discover the local flora and fauna.
