Hospitality, relaxation, warmth, and history are the main descriptions, but nothing can match the hospitality of Bruno and Jocelyne Zuber who were so kind and helpful to me. I was doing a genealogy search, and Bruno introduced me the local historian who assisted me immensely. They also suggested restaurants, hiking trails, and informed me of the museums, etc. Each morning for breakfast, they had a special bread of the region. Also, the guests at the table were interesting and varied from a woman hiking the Wine Trail, a couple biking to Italy, and a family on a road trip. They speak French and German fluently and English is manageable. Bruno also took me to the small town where my great grandmother was born plus helped me to connect with the Genealogy Society of Guebwiller. All this is beyond expectations! Besides this there is the historic aspect of the B & B as it was a former castle and used by the military with the old guard house still on the property. The hosts have some tapestries and paintings that continue with the authenticity of the property's period, but the bathrooms are remodeled, and all rooms are decorated with colorful themes. There's a large parking area if you're driving, but I took the train from Mulhouse and you get out at the stop after city center with a small walk to the property. I didn't have any problems finding it as there's a small roundabout that you walk through going left and then a sharp turn to the right. They have a map on the website. I give high recommendations to the whole experience, and I'd love to return!
