Camping du Vieux Château

Beautiful campsite below the castle. Very quiet site run by a friendly couple. Absolutely ideal as a site but unfortunately very little in Rauzan. One restaurant (other than take-away pizza) and that was shut for their vacation (although it did have excellent recommendations). No real cafe. We took a trip for a tour and wine-tasting to nearby Chateau Bonhoste. All in all a fabulous place if you're looking for peace and quiet and lots of bird song.

A very well organised and clean campsite with best cleanliness in sanitary blocks that we have stayed in.

Good sized pitches with plenty of shade, very clean and friendly atmosphere. Perhaps needs more toilets but that is the only criticism.

Séjour de 4 nuits très agréable, il faisait chaud mais le camping est ombragé, la température redescend bien la nuit. L'accès au village à pied est très pratique, toutes commodités et cadre très agréable.

L'accueil est chaleureux ; toutes les informations sur la vie du camping et les services sont donnés de façon claire ; très bel environnement, au calme ; des gérants professionnels et bienveillants. Un court séjour avec regret, mais de façon certaine et à la demande de mon fils, nous y retournerons dès que possible !

Wir campen seit ca. 35 Jahren, auch in Frankreich Z.B. Bretagne, Bourgund usw. war es nie üblich die Gesamtsumme im vorhinein zu überweisen. Dies störte uns sehr, hätten wir kein Familientreffen in dieser Gegend gehabt, so wäre für uns der Platz aus diesem Grund nicht in Frage gekommen. Obwohl wir einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt hatten, bleibt uns dies negativ in Erinnerung. Nicht gut fanden alle Camper, dass die Versorgung mit heißem Wasser an den Spülbecken nie der Fall war.

Wir sind durch Zufall auf diesen Platz gestoßen und haben gleich spontan ein paar Tage dran gehangen, weil der Platz wunderschön und die Umgebung traumhaft ist. Das Betreiberehepaar ist sehr freundlich und alles ist klein, familiär und trotzdem funktionell. Dass das Internet 22 Uhr abgeschalten wurde, war erst einmal komisch, aber doch auch irgendwie Urlaub… - Der Schlossparkcharakter sucht seines Gleichen…
