Welcome to camping le serpolin (announcement by an individual) - Welcome to Le Serpolin, the campsite is located in the heart of the Loire Valley. People say, "when you stay at Camping Le Serpolin, you never want to leave". The campsite is located on the 4.5 ha of land of what was once a livestock farm, and is ideally located for a long or short stay where you can just relax. A campsite near the Loire Valley is a great way to immerse yourself in French life and culture with beautiful walks and bike rides (bikes can be hired) - In the countryside, the 16 large pitches (15 m long) are large enough to accommodate any tent / caravan, even Twin Axles. Each of the pitches has 10 electrical connection points A, 2 hard pitches and 6 fully equipped pitches offering immediate access to drinking water / shower and gray water disposal. No need to carry those big water cans anymore! These sites are booked on a first come, first served basis. The large plunge pool is free for all of our guests and is a wonderful place to sit, relax and cool off, while admiring the countryside. Next to the campsite is a large pond teeming with fish. It is a wonderful place to sit in the sun, relax and watch the abundant wildlife. Arrangements can be made for fishing licenses if you wish to fish in other places nearby. The large shower room / WC has free hot water, toilet paper, soap and hand towels. There is also a covered area for washing dishes, as well as a tourist information point. If needed you can also have a washer / dryer for a small extra charge. The barbecue area is set up in a common area, where you can enjoy the barbecue evenings that we offer, while playing pétanque or watching the children play in the playground. We also have large garden versions of Jenga, Drafts and Chess as well as more traditional games and puzzles stored in the information room. We can also book horse riding lessons, pony treks, wine tasting on horseback, etc. for you. with a neighboring equestrian center. There is so much to discover and do within a 30/40 minute drive from Serpolin. In the heart of the Anjou-Saumur vineyard, wine tours are a must and we organize them every week during the summer. For the sportsmen, there is the choice between horse riding, cycling, walking, swimming, karting, canoeing, golf. The neighboring towns, Saumur, Doué-la-Fontaine, Cholet, Angers, Thouars, have castles, troglodytes, museums, parks and gardens / theme parks, restaurants, shops and much more … - The nearest villages are Nueil-Sur-Layon (5 km) and Vihiers (9 km) which offers post offices, bakeries, banks, supermarkets, tobacco / bars and restaurants.
