Camping Duguesclin

Camping agréable, propre, très calme. Les propriétaires sont à l'écoute. Bonne ambiance familiale. Seul défaut, les sanitaires sont vieillissants.

A wonderful, peaceful, site with a friendly and helpful (English speaking) French Manager. We camped in a small area kept exclusively for tent campers. Tables and chairs were available for our use. facilities were good and clean. We saw lots of birds and butterflies. In main season the site is visited by different local food traders several times a week. We were able to buy freshly cooked pizza in the nearby village of Saint Coulomb, from a van on a Sunday evening. The van was parked in the "Place", which is the Car Park and Bus stop.

Fantastic place, quiet, clean, friendly people, lovely beach…

We very much enjoyed our stay at Camping Duguesclin. Our pitch was small but well serviced and the site was well maintained and quiet during the day and silent after 11. It is close to Saint Malo, for days and nights out, and very close to beautiful (in fact stunning) beaches and the coast path. Cancale is close by too for the Sunday market and general supermarket shopping. Dinan (a must see) is about 40 mins away. Eric is an excellent host, really friendly and helpful. The only aspect that prevents a perfect score is the toilet block, its ok but not great. So if you like a quiet, small and well located site, Camping Duguesclin is a great choice.

We traveled with car and stayed in the tent. Our pitch was in the garden, very nice and quiet area. Nature all around. Showers good equipped. Possibility to order baguettes and qruasants for breakfasts, evening meals every night different choice by the entrance of the campsite. The owner of the campsite was very friendly always had a smile. Well done Eric. We will definitely go back there again.

The owners were helpful and friendly. The site was quiet and kept tidy, it also had clean toilets and shower areas.

The owners - Eric & Natalie are a really nice helpful couple you will enjoy them & Eric in particular likes to have a chat. Facilities - 3 pitches slope considerably, we ended up turning the van round with the motor mover & chocking really high on one side as this was the only way of getting the step to reach the caravan door. Natalie supplied chocks & all was completed successfully, but if you don't want to faff around take a decent height door step. The pitch itself was a good size, self contained with hedging & flowers. Water tap & drain. Also a nice view of the sea. The toilet block serves only 4 pitches (I could not find any others) so is never crowded & is first class, but you need to take your own toilet paper over each time as there are no loo roll holders. Showers can be a bit hot (I suppose we could have asked for them to be turned down a bit) - Local - There is a small shop on site, also a decent Super U at Cancale & a bit further in the other direction is a really good Le Clerc as you reach St Malo, both of which have cheap fuel. Beaches - The local one is in easy walking distance & is really pleasant, with clean sand & quite a steep slope into the sea so even with the tide out you can still get your shoulders wet. You don't actually need to look any further, but if you do there are 2 others a few clicks either side equally as good that you will need a car for. Unlike the UK all the local beaches have free parking. Our opinion - If you are thinking of staying here with a tourer or campervan do it!

Ich wurde sehr persönlich und nett empfangen. Man war sehr bemüht das es mir gut geht und ich bekam gute Tips für Wanderungen etc. ! Ich war mit einem Campingmobil dort, weshalb ich nichts über die Ausstattung der Häuser sagen kann. Für Kinder gibt es wenig, aber das würde auch nicht zu diesem idyllischen Ort passen. Sehr gut fand ich das an zwei Tagen ein super guter Imbiss-Wagen kam, der beste Muscheln mit Fritten und fantastische Burger zu einem super Preis-Leistungs-Verhätnis anbot !! Der Strand ist ca. 10 min. zu Fuß erreichbar und von dort kann man endlose km am Meer entlang wandern. Der Weg führt bergauf, bergab am Meer entlang. Sehr schön!! Leider läßt die Hygiene der sanitären Anlage sehr zu wünschen übrig! Ich hatte nicht wirklich Lust die "Toilettenbürste" überhaupt in die Hand zu nehmen, geschweige denn die Toilette zu benutzen : -(. Duschen haben sehr gut warmes Wasser, leider nicht regelbar, wenn es wärmer wird. Und auch diese könnten sauberer sein. ! Ansonsten habe ich mich sehr wohl dort gefühlt !

Dieses ist ein gemütlicher, nahe am Meer gelegener Campingplatz. Nette Begrüßung und Betreuung---Waschhaus, klein aber sauber. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt.
