L'Hirondelle Chambres d'Hotes

A warm welcome and much needed cup of tea on the shady terrace was followed by a good home cooked meal in pleasant company. My hosts were easy to chat with and very knowledgeable about the area, which was very helpful to me as I am planning to move there from the Minervois. We ended the evening back on the lovely terrace with a glass of wine and the opportunity to hear their resident little owl! My room was ensuite with everything I could need : comfortable bed and a good shower. We had a leisurely breakfast the following morning, a lovely way to start what was going to be another busy day. The accommodation is spotless, comfortable and I could leave at my own pace. I felt welcome from my arrival, well looked after, and with interesting company in a pleasant rural environment. I'm returning there next week!

Great hospitality. We booked a room but they had availability in the gite so we appreciated being given the extra space. Breakfast was great! And the advice of the local area, restaurants etc was great.

Such a nice place to stay! Gail and Chris were warm, informative, hospitable, knowlegeable, and good cooks! The room was impeccably clean and comfortable. We were in Saint Matthieu for an event at the Chateau, and I was concerned the local choice of lodgings would mean a place that was less than perfect - but not so. Very, very nice and all I could have wished!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at L'Hirondelle Chambres d'Hotes. Gaile and her husband were welcoming and helpful, our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable, and the breakfast gave us good energy to begin our day. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone!

Although we were there only overnight, we found Chris and Gail wonderful and accommodating. The rooms were clean and well furnished and quiet. Really a delightful place to stay; wish we could have spent more time there.

Arrived at L'Hirondelle after a very long journey and was welcomed with a nice cuppa. My room, food and hosts were excellent. I can definitely recommend a stay. Chris and Gail looked after me very well. Fabulous.

We have stayed several times at L'hirondell and have never been disappointed. This time was no exception. We cannot think of anything negative to say. In any area. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We recommend you book in for an evening meal, the food is comparable to any restaurant. We would recommend to anyone.

Lit confortable, lieu calme, bonne cuisine. Gail et Chris sont très accueillants et nous n'avons aucun reproche à faire. Nous recommandons cette adresse. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir chez eux dès que nous aurons l'occasion de revenir dans le Limousin.

Nous avons été très bien accueilli, l'endroit est chaleureux et très propre. Un super petit déjeuner le matin. Bravo aux hôtes, et merci encore.

Chambre spacieuse et très au calme. Petit déjeuner très alléchant et complet. Gail est toujours à l'écoute et donne de bons conseils.

J'ai passé une excellente soirée avec Gail et Chris la discussion pouvant se faire en anglais comme en français. Le repas de table d'hôtes était également très bon. La chambre est fonctionnelle et comporte tout ce qu'il faut avec le gîte en rez-de-chaussée pour ceux qui préfèrent se cuisiner quelque chose. Si l'occasion se présente j'y retournerai.

Accueil agréable dans une famille qui nous a reçu comme sinous étions des amis. Table d'hôte excellente - A recommander et si nous repassons dans la région, nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Qouique en bord de route, le gite est très calme. Les chambres sont spacieuses et bien équipées. Nos hôtes ont été tres sympathiques. Le petit déjeuner correct : peut être que des produits de la région seraient un plus …

Nous avons séjourné une nuit, dans le cadre d'un mariage, à l'Hirondelle. Accueil chaleureux, table d'hote oppulente, chambres spacieuses et propres : une prestation excellente. Ps : nous avons pu mettre notre moto à l'abris.

Een hele goede gastvrouw en gastheer, we zijn er heel goed ontvangen, alles was er netjes en het eten s'avonds was er ook zeer lekker! In de omgeving is er een meer waar je ook naar toe kan. Een aanrader! Wij gaan zeker eens terug maar dan voor langer.
