Le Soustet des Auches

My wife and I toured Europe, by motorcycle, last spring (May, 2013). This was one of the highlights of our days in France. Bornia, the owner, is the most gracious person we met in France. Although she does not speak English, she used her dictionary to make us feel welcome. Our room was at the top. A mixture of old world charm and modern amenities. It was probably the best sleep we had in Europe. (Note: You will notice a near by bell tower which chimes a lot. Do not worry as it does not chime at night) - The breakfast was wonderful (by European standards). They have locked/enclosed parking for motorcycles (although some block away). Not sure about cars. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. And, the town has very good restaurants. Very friendly people in this town. And, fun to just walk in a place of old world charm. Most of the time, in our tour of France, people would not speak to us... We speak no French. The lady I asked about local lodging was obviously from Germany/Austria but spoke excellent English. She walked me up into the town to show me, what she said was the best place in town. She was right. So, it appears the locals are friendly to Americans. A very nice feeling. Wonderful town. On my upcoming motorcycle trip to revisit Europe, I will make a concerted effort to stay here again.
