La Grange du Mellerey

A fantastic place to stay. Wonderful hosts and a lovely little converted barn to stay in. The kids loved the garden! The best bit was dinner - we were so grateful for the opportunity to practise our bad french with friendly, warm people. We also met the owners' son and his family, which was fantastic for all of us. Our sons enjoyed playing with the other children - who needs to speak the same language when you have football! The area is great too - lots to explore and a very handy stopover before or after the ferry or channel tunnel.

Familiar and authetic stay, great breakfast with freshly prepared cake, crepes and the like!

We stayed the La Grange du Mellerey for 1 night on a recent trip to France. Our accommodations were lovely with a loft bedroom, and main floor sitting/dining room. Madame had the fridge stocked with bottled water for us, and was extremely warm and friendly. Their location in the Champagne district was very convenient, and breakfast was excellent. We particularly appreciated that our need to have breakfast early in order to catch a flight home was accommodated very graciously. We would definitely stay here again!

Together with my girlfriend, we spend two nights at the B&B La Grande du Mellerey. We really enjoyed and I strong suggest to whom is travelling close to the area, to stop by and spend at least one night. Nice family, good food and very relaxing place! At the same time the small village Basileux Sous Chatillon, is strategically located not so far from Paris and Reims.
