Le Moulin de Limayrac

Bed & breakfast - Holidays & weekends in Colombiès

Limayrac - Colombiès

Guénaëlle & Gordon welcome you to the Moulin de Limayrac. Built in the 19th century and set in the beautiful Aveyron countryside it is a relaxing and charming place to stay. The Moulin offers you 1 double and 3 family bedrooms with private shower rooms located in the renovated old barn which is traditionally built from local stone and wood and set in 2.5 acres. We are also pleased to offer our guests the opportunity to stay with us for dinner and enjoy the very best of local and French cuisine. Inside or out, reading in the library or watching the trout in the stream, you will find the Moulin de Limayrac a perfect place to relax. Its tranquil setting by the stream, lined with trees and overlooked only by sloping green fields has been unchanged for generations. Guests enjoy the exclusive use of the library with its wood burner and the spacious ground floor living/dining room and outside terrace overlooking the stream. The entire grange including the large, well equipped kitchen can also be rented as a gîte up to 15 persons. Just 30 minutes drive from the ancient city of Rodez and 35 minutes from the airport, we are in the heart of the Ségala region, an ideal place from which to relax or explore and discover this beautiful unspoilt part of France : mountains, rivers and ancient stone villages are close by. If you want to improve your child's French skills, why not try one of our specially themed short breaks ?

Well worth visiting
A beautifully restored old mill run by a very engaging young couple. Guénaëlle and Gordon made every effort to make us feel welcome and at home. The communal lounge and dining room downstairs is large and very well appointed. Upstairs our bedrooms were plenty big enough with adequate en-suites. Everywhere was scrupulously clean an tidy. We were welcomed with tea/coffee on the terrace downstairs and were offered an aperitif before dinner. Dinner was had at the communal refectory dining table in company with other guests. It was delicious with an interesting menu and very generous portions. Our hosts dined with us and made sure that we all had a very convivial evening. Breakfast was similarly good with all that we could have asked for. The location is very well placed for visiting Belcastel which is a “must see” tourist attraction. Our itinerary allowed only one night's stay but in other circumstances we could quite happily have stayed longer here.

We are located between two of the most beautiful villages in France Belcastel 15 km and Sauveterre de Rouergue 20 km. Directions from Rodez : * Take N88 and D911 towards Albi to Baraqueville towards Villefranche de Rouergue. * If you take the D994 towards Villefranche Rodez and Rignac D997 is longer because the roads are smaller. However it is more picturesque. Gps Coordinates : N44.3308 & E2.3627. Coordinates in degrees, minutes, seconds : N44 ° 19 '50 & E2 ° 21' 45.
