The domaine, or property, includes the main house, the little house, the impressive barn, the park and a beautiful swimming pool. The chosen décor for both houses contains a mixture of modern and antique furnishings, textiles and fabrics, with an array of wonderful chandeliers predominantly French in provenance and a large eclectic collection of art. In the main house there are four sumptuous en-suite bedrooms, each one different from the other ; uncluttered but luxurious. Other areas within the house to enjoy include the hall with concert Steinway and drawing room with views to the front and back of the house ; the library with books from all subjects both in French and English. On the ground floor the large kitchen with its copper pots, Godin stove and six oven Aga has direct access to the beamed and elegant dining room, where candle light provides a rich setting for dinner…

Absolutely excellent
Thank you so much, Michele and Rob, our caring and thoughtful hosts. We were very well looked after. Sengresse is a luxurious family home in a lovingly renovated petit chateau, stylishly decorated and extremely comfortable and relaxing. The Domaine is a lovely estate, seemingly tucked away in Les Landes countryside in Aquitaine but only a short drive to many activities and attractions, when we wanted to explore. We also enjoyed the local old French villages, full of character almost from a bygone age. The grounds are great for walks and include a swimming pool in the delightful garden. We discovered that Michele was invited to be a member of the Collège Culiniere de France this year, a well deserved honour from our own experience. A further bonus was the most comfortable bed on our entire holiday. Both are seemingly very involved in and committed to the local community, and were really helpful with local knowledge and the wide range of possibilities to enjoy in the area. Very highly recommended.

Utter bliss - total joy. A gem in unspolt France
We spent a week spoilt by Michele and Rob in their old and beautifully furnished home. The house is situated in about 7 acres of stunning garden offering the opportunity to picnic every evening in secluded spots with strategically placed rusticated tables and benches. Daily routines - a few like a very short trip to Mugron and the Carrefour supermarket, and the local shops to buy wines and cheeses - or deciding if it day by the pool is preferred to the lovely beach ar L'Homy - 40 minutes by and easy to drive along quiet roads. Our hosts were brilliant and could not have been more helpful. They deserve their obvious success and we look forward to visiting Michele, Sasha and Rob again very soon - Barbara and Stephen.

Fabulous stay
Thank you, Rob and Michelle, for giving people the opportunity to spend time in your wonderful idyllic chateau. I arrived tired and left refreshed, i ate like a king but probably drank a little too much! Your eye for detail is everywhere, from the elegance of the decor in every room to the layout of the grounds. Rob, a big thank you for the 'secret' recipe to your salad dressing.. Mine isn't as good as yours but my family have said its way better than anything we've had before. Thank you, I can't recommend Sengresse highly enough - it's fabulous.

The best of a British influenced B&B found in France. Very friendly hosts, great hospitality.
I have never visited such a pleasent place in France before. The hospitality is tremendiously good. One feel like being a member of the family. Sengresse is located in very quiet surroundings, so the place is a perfect place to stress off. Surrounded by mais and kiwi fields, one can´t get closer to nature really. Even being in a relatively remote area, one is still close to bigger cities, Mont-de-Marsan and Dax, the sea and Spain is not far away. I can highly recommend a recreation/holiday in these nice sourroundings, not to mention the accommodation, in beautifully renovated rooms with private bath and toilets. There is also the possibility to rent your 'own' house 'La petite Maison', having the swimming pool just outside. There is nothing the hosts won´t do for you, they are very helpful kind. One can even borrow their bbq grill, using the beautiful scenary as ones dining room, cooking ones evening meals. Worth a visit!

Fantastic find- few as good as this!
Fabulous warm welcome, homely and friendly yet privacy also respected. Best night's sleep I have had for ages- super comfortable bed following a delicious meal of local cuisine. Great personalities as hosts with endless local knowledge to help plan great things to do- whatever the weather. Beautifully charicturful house with many gems of past times to enjoy mulling over. Lovely gardens to stroll around and great pool to while away hours in hot weather.
