Private cruise with caterer on the Canal du Midi

Highlight of our five-week vacation. Easy travelling on the Canal du MIDI. Kate and Freddie created a lovely casual atmosphere from the very beginning. They were extremely hospitable, knowledgeable about the Canal and the food was great.

This is a must do trip, the hosts are friendly, helpful and informative. The whole family from 10 years old to 95 year old enjoyed the day A 4 hr trip flew by and was a perfect amount of time for all of us too. The food served was fantastic, a good variety to suit everyone, great flavours and fresh. The care and attention was excellent. The Canal was beautiful. I highly recommend the hosts and boat. We will definitely do this again.

When visiting Carcassonne, France, I highly recommend adding a Private cruise on the Canal du Midi to your itinerary. Upon boarding the boat, we were warmly greeted by Kate & Ferdi who provided us with a rich history of the canal and the area. As we lounged in their comfortable chairs, Kate prepared the most delicious food, starting with drinks and appetizers, followed by a salmon dinner and fresh lemon dessert. They were very accommodating, and we enjoyed our time relaxing and taking in the beautiful scenery. Thank you Kate & Ferdi for making my 65th birthday extra special!

We had the most wonderful day out on Sirenga. Kate and Ferdy were perfect hosts and full of anecdotes and local info. Time flew… though it also kind of stood still. It was peaceful and the views are stunning. The food is also excellent! How they produce such food from a tiny galley I have no idea. Worth every centime. We loved it.

We spent a lovely half day with Ferdie and Kate on their small boat. Everything was perfect. We rescheduled due to weather, no problem. Their stories were delightful and the meal superb. Just enough food. Merci for a beautiful experience on the very peaceful Canal du MIdi.

Kate and Ferdie made our first trip on the Canal du Midi a truly memorable one. We did the 5.5-hour lunch trip, and let me just say that the food was amazing—and all homemade! (And by homemade I mean they smoked their own salmon and duck for the salmon and duck salads that we had…delicious.) The entire trip felt like we were spending the day with family or great friends, while at the same time being somewhat pampered. They are both full of entertaining stories and are very knowledgeable of the history of the canal and surrounding areas. I highly recommend going on one of their cruises…or two or three. A canal cruise with Kate and Ferdie will be a must for any of our visitors, and I'll be joining them each time.

We had a fantastic day out on the Canal du Midi on board the Sianga on a 5-hour trip down to the 9 Locks of Fonseranes. Kate and Ferdi are excellent hosts ! We had a delicious 3-course lunch on board, drinks included. We had a perfect, relaxing day … Kate and Ferdi, we'll be back … and that's a promise : -) ! Erik & Carine, Dominic & Anja.

We spent a very enjoyable day on the Canal du Midi, being looked after by Kate & Ferdie, on their boat 'Sianga'. It was an idyllic & extremely relaxed way to eat lunch. The food was excellent, & Kate & Ferdie were great company. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

We went on this trip as a family with 2 teenage boys and we all thoroughly enjoyed the day. The hosts were very hospitable and the food was so delicious and was all cooked by Kate. It was such a perfect day. We wouldn't hesitate to do the trip again if we were back in that beautiful part of France..

When we decided to take our trip we weren't expecting such a memorable day. Before the trip we were given a menu to choose from and asked if we had any allergies. Wine is included in the menu and you can specify your preferred soft drinks which we thought was great. Kate cooked such a beautifully presented and delicious lunch, locally sourced and served on the deck under a canopy. She described the treasures of the area while her husband, Ferdi our captain, ensured a smooth ride on this beautiful boat. In all, both are great company and know how to make their guests feel at home. We highly recommend this trip to anyone to take in the beauty of the area while enjoying a delicious meal. Excellente croisière avec Kate et Ferdy qui sont très accueillants et fort sympathiques. Belles prestations (apéritif, déjeuner, collations) durant la croisière.

Un accueil très chaleureux. Kate et son époux mettent tous en œuvre pour nous satisfaire et se sentir bien. De l'apéritif au dessert tout était parfait et délicieux. Du fait maison de qualité. Comme au restaurant nous avons pu choisir entre 3 entrées 3 plats et 3 desserts mais nous pouvons aussi faire des demandes personnelles. Les boissons sont à volonté et très variées - Les explications de kate sur l historique du canal fût enrichissante. Même si l'époux de Kate, le capitaine, parle peu français, le courant est très bien passé. Ce sont des personnes très sympathique - Confort sur le bateau avec 2 chaises longues à l avant qui vous donne une vue magnifique sur le canal. A faire les yeux fermés. Nous recommandons vivement.

Kate hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und den ganzen Tag über verwöhnt. Das Essen war super und man hat sich runderem wohl gefühlt. Die Fahrt war sehr entspannend. Wir haben von Kate viele Informationen über den Kanal und der Umgebung erhalten.
