In the footsteps of the stories of authors of the Samoëns valley, we (re) discover the mountains of Haut-Giffre by walking the old and new paths of the Aiguilles Rouges, the Tour du Ruan, the Desert of Platé or the viewpoints of the Dents Blanches to the gates of Abondance.
For 2022, I propose two books that will be 'markets' during the same hike. These are 'La naufragée du lac des Dents Blanches' by Patrice Gain, and 'Le silence des glaces' by Patrick Breuzé. We will look for the bridge where the mule accident takes place at the beginning of Breuzé's novel and we will immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of such rapid changes of weather in this corner of the Alps. And this lake of the White Teeth, which you will not find in any topo, is it really possible to sink there? Is it as you imagined it when the main character discovers the beautiful Saamiya?
Whichever book you choose, this 3-day hike with night in two refuges will allow you to live the novel in the original setting and give substance to the imagination that the author sparked during your reading. On this occasion we will make a magnificent crossing with as starting point the 30 waterfalls of the Cirque de Fer à Cheval, and a passage through the refuge of La Vogealle and that of Folly
