Enjoy a small-group excursion by coach from Paris to discover Claude Monet's gardens and home, followed by lunch and a guided tour of the Château de Versailles ! Located in the Eure department, Giverny is particularly famous for being home to Claude Monet's house, listed as a "historic monument". After a 1h30 bus ride, you can immerse yourself in the world of Claude Monet and explore his home and gardens in a small group. You'll be able to admire the different landscapes of this village, with the flower garden and water garden designed by Monet. You can also observe the water lily pond (the model for his "Water Lilies" paintings) with its play of colors and its legendary Japanese-inspired bridge, while listening to your guide's commentary. Afterwards, you're free to visit Monet's home, with its various rooms, the studio, the blue reading room, the dining room… You'll discover his former living and working quarters, as well as one of the world's most important collections of Japanese prints. You'll also have the opportunity to enjoy the village and a boutique-library for souvenirs. For lunch, you'll head off again for the "Moulin de Fourges", 10 minutes from Giverny, where you'll enjoy local cuisine revisited with pan-fried foie gras or Normandy beef tartare, cod or veal breast confit, a floating island… (according to daily availability).In the afternoon, you can visit the famous Palace of Versailles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, and learn more about the history of the château, the different rooms, the decor, the objets d'art… Admire the artistic treasures and Baroque architecture of the château, and stroll through some of its 700 rooms. Formerly the official residence of the kings of France, you'll have access to the castle's famous areas such as the Galerie des Glaces and the Grands Appartements du roi et de la reine, while listening to your guide's comments and anecdotes. You'll then have the opportunity to freely explore the castle's gardens, with their various fountains, ponds, sculptures, flowerbeds…
