The Cârouj is a recreational park dedicated to Breton games. In a natural setting, this park, unique in Brittany, invites you to discover and practice a sixty Breton traditional games, indoors and outdoors.
The site includes : "La Mézon du Cârouj" : a beautiful room of 300 m² that can learn and practice the games well protected, with family, friends, groups. A dozen games (game of bowls, skittles, quoits, …) are provided continuously and are regularly replaced by other. "La Pree des jeux" : a meadow of a large, raised and closed, crossed by a path along which 21 are installed playgrounds, 4 of which are covered (game of bowls, skittles, Breton discs, …) as well as information panels telling the story of these games. The set offers a catalog of over sixty different games, accessible to everyone and to all ages.
The "Cârouj" -word of "Gallese" language -Romance language of "Haute Bretagne"- means "crossroads". This name was chosen by La Jaupitre, the association that manages the park, to embody the spirit of meeting and sharing that has always placed at the center of its approach, dating back over 30 years. That's why "The Cârouj" is not a theme park like no other and it is a place of high usability and shared pleasure around these original games and often unsung.
