The Pieris workshop is shared on two sites: a city workshop: at Puy in Velay, in Haute-Loire. A town southeast of the Massif Central, Auvergne region, Le Puy en Velay is the starting point of the "via podiensis" towards Santiago de Compostela. This small workshop nestled in the old town welcomes trainees to learn and perfect the various techniques of the visual arts and applied arts throughout the year. It is an opportunity to discover a city with a rich heritage, classified as a World Heritage Site by Unesco. (http://www.ot-lepuyenvelay.fr) - A second workshop is located in the countryside, about twenty kilometers from Puy en Velay, the common "rooms" of Le Brignon. Construction in wood-frame, environmentally friendly it dominates the wild Loire Valley. It allows trainees to work outdoors in an admirable site, and offers the opportunity to discover an authentic and preserved environment (marked hiking, http://www.lebrignon.fr) - Modeling - Abstraction, figuration, anatomy, face, animal subject… are the projects we will discuss based on your level. Added, removed, plates, frames… are the techniques used for your achievements. Modeled, cooked and patinas. Plastic Arts, Sculpture - Internships and courses offer you a personal research process where you have to experiment, tatonner and create. The approach is individual, and encourages to venture and use techniques as traditional (oil, watercolor, inks, wood carving, …) as other more contemporary techniques such as photography, collage, printing, assemblages… in the service of a personal project - La Pierre - Pierre de Dordogne, d'Estaillade, Mignié marbrier are the stones proposed for initiation. For those who already have a practice, we will tackle harder stones lens stone, granites, sandstone and especially the Blavozy stone arkose of our region.
