There are 4 cruises available - a 3.5hr (11.00 departure) lunch cruise and a 6hr (10.00 departure) cruise, which leave from Capestang, and a 4hr (11.00 departure) lunch cruise plus a 6hr (10.00 departure) cruise which leave from near Relais de la Pigasse, 4 km from Capestang. After boarding, we glide gently down this amazing unesco world Heritage Site, the Canal du Midi, taking in the stunning scenery and beautiful villages along the way. You will enjoy aperitives followed by a delicious homemade 3 course lunch, which you choose from a short menu beforehand, with drinks onboard, prepared for you by your hostess, Kate. She will also give you some history of this amazing Canal, one of the oldest still in operation in Europe. For the first one, we travel downstream through the beautiful village of Poilhes, then the famous Malpas Tunnel before turning and returning to Capestang, then the 6hr continues to the 9 Fonserannes locks at Beziers where we stop and watch other boats negotiate these fabulous locks, before returning to Capestang. On the other 6hr cruise we travel upstream through the beautiful Le Somail and Ventenac, passing over some impressive aquaducts, and turn at Paraza. The 4hr cruise goes to Le Somail and back. We take single groups of 2-6 guests, so you can move around as you please, sunbathe, or relax in the comfortable reclining chairs at the front which gives you the best view.
