We stayed only for one night as part of a visit to Le Puits du Tresor but would have happily stayed much longer. This is a very beautiful and comfortable place to stay. The gardens and pool are amazing. Our breakfast was perfect. Our dog was made very welcome. For us a little more privacy between the toilet and the room would be a plus but would not stop us from staying again. We thank Maryse and Lahcene for their hospitality and kindness and look forward to our next visit.

La Salimonde is a hidden gem in the Montaigne Noir. We had a lovely lunch at the Michelin Star restaurant, Les Puits du Tresor (also wonderful) located across the street. The view from our terrace was exquisite. One can look up the hill and see one of the medieval castle. The pool is absolutely inviting. Maryse fixed a lovely breakfast with fresh fruit, crêpes, tea, and coffee. The only thing is that you have to carry your luggage up a pedestrian only walk-way. I highly recommend this chambre d'hôtes, if you like interesting, unique places !

We loved staying here. It has been one of the very best experiences of our 3 month cycling tour of France. Maryse and Lahcene are wonderfully generous and hospitable hosts and the house, chambre, pool and garden are beautiful. The little village is delightful and the small road down to it from the direction of Mazamet is quiet and spectacular. There is an excellent brasserie across the street, or, if you prefer, a one Michelin star restaurant.

Came across this quite be chance. Wonderful views and a great all round place to stay.

Je suis venue avec des amies de Londres et nous avons eu un accueil chaleureux. Les chambres étaient bien aménagées et tout confort avec une belle vue en hauteur. Un petit déjeuner avec une multitude de confitures tout fait maison. Un vrai régal pour bien commencer une journée chargée. Recommendé par nos amis Helen & Tony Othen qui habite un peu plus haut dans le hameau.

We had a warm welcome when we stayed here, nothing seemed too much trouble, the hosts speak only limited English and we very limited French but that didn't stop them making every effort to make sure we were content. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious either served on the terrace with a great view of the village or inside.

We found La Salimonde to be absolutely perfect in every way: beautiful, clean, friendly and helpful. The breadkfast every morning was delicious. I would unreservedly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit any or all of the many sites within 50 km. The best B&B we have ever experienced - When looking for a B and B near enough to Carcassonne to visit, but far enough to be away from the chaos, we happened upon La Salimonde, and how lucky we were. Guests are very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed it and would not hesitate to return.

Allez rencontrer Maryse et Lahcene, ils ont bâti leur maison d'hôte avec amour... endroit idéalement placé pour aller randonner vers les châteaux cathares. Vous y serez merveilleusement reçus si vous voulez échanger avec eux. C'est un couple extraordinaire de gentillesse. Nous y retournerons, en plus il y a un resto étoile juste en bas fantastique …

Highlight of our trip ! Considering visiting Lastours ? Consider staying the night at La Salimonde and eating dinner at Les Puts de Tresor. You absolutely will not regret it ! This charming bnb is run by a delightful and kind French couple, who purchased and renovated the property (ask to see the pictures). You can tell that thought and care has been put into every bit of the design, from the gardens to the pool to the guest rooms. The bnb is gorgeous, from the natural olive trees to the house being built into the side of the mountain at the base of the chateaux. Rooms are comfortable and well designed - regrettably, we only stayed one night. It was so peaceful and a welcome break from our travels to be able to open to the windows at night and listen to the sound of nature and the river below. The hosts are very kind, offering water and drinks to us on multiple occasions. Despite somewhat of a language barrier (one of us spoke some French), we were able to converse. Additionally, we were able to leave our bags the next morning and hike up to the chateaux - when we returned, we were offered a Coke. This is a real authentic experience. Do not pass it up and be sure to ask about their homemade olive oil !!

Excellent accueil, endroit, …

Nous recevons un accueil chaleureux et bienveillant avec un pot d'arrivée bienvenu. C'est dans un cadre enchanteur que nous avons passé notre séjour, bâti de leurs mains, où la végétation apprivoise avec harmonie la rocaille à l'image de cette magnifique piscine miroir accrochée à flan de paroi, il fallait oser. Immense bravo et grand merci à nos deux hôtes hors du commun. Vous pouvez réserver sans hésiter.

Un accueil chaleureux et une maison nichée sur le rocher qui donne une ambiance très intimiste. Charme et confort sont au rendez-vous.

La Salimonde est vraiment un bel endroit pour profiter du charme de la région. La vue sur la terrasse vous permet d'admirer le paysage le jour et les étoiles la nuit, et la piscine de vous délasser et de vous rafraîchir après avoir randonné dans les montagnes environnantes. On se sent hors du monde. La maison fera la joie des amateurs d'architecture et les hôtes sont absolument charmants. Notre seule regret ? Ne pas avoir pu rester plus longtemps ! Qu'à cela ne tienne : nous reviendrons !

Charmant séjour dans une magnifique demeure au calme et plus près des châteaux de Lastours ! Petit plus pour la splendide piscine et le jardin dépaysant ! Les hôtes sont bienveillants, le petit déjeuner est excellent (fait maison). Nous recommandons chaudement !

La gentillesse de Maryse et Lahcene n'a d'égal que la beauté du site. Et quelle magnifique piscine !!!

Nous voulions passer un bon moment et nous avons passé un merveilleux moment… - Les hôtes sont bienveillants et très conviviaux, juste ce qu'il faut pour ne pas déranger et le site est absolument magique. La cerise sur le gâteau est le petit déjeuner : une parenthèse comme on les aime tant.

Maryse et son mari nous ont accueilli avec beaucoup d'attention. Le lieu pour la visite des châteaux est idéal ainsi que pour la restauration. Les prestations proposées par la qualité et le prix sont excellentes. Nos hôtes sont intéressants et intéressés. Une belle rencontre dans un cadre très soigné.

Accueil très chaleureux très beau site calme et entièrement rénové par les propriétaires qui sont charmants.

Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de parking ; ne pouvant nous garer, nous sommes rentres chez nous.

Nous avons passé une excellente soirée dans ce gite où la propriétaire est d'une disponibilité et d'une gentillesse remarquable. Chambre très propre et spacieuse, petit déjeuner sur la terrasse parfait. Nous vous recommandons ce havre de paix.
