Gîte la Bouygue

Rental - Holidays & weekends in Penne

Lieu-dit Fontblanque - Penne

Experience the true feel of genteel old France at its most rural and unspoiled while relaxing at la Bouygue located on the edge of the Grésigne forest, one of the oldest and largest oak forests in Europe. *** Nestled on 3 acres of land, the tastefully decorated house comprises two gîtes, completely self-contained, each with an independent entrance and equipped with all modern essentials. *** Gîte 1, upstairs (1300 ft2) is equipped for 2 to 8 persons + baby. *** A holiday in the South of France would be not complete without a swimming pool and a pétanque pitch. The functional design of the heated swimming pool guarantees fun for young and old from May until September. The shallow end is equipped with large steps and a gentle slope takes you to a depth of 1,60 m. Thanks to salt water technology, the pool is sanitized without chemicals. *** The region is one of the most charming and unspoiled departments of southwest France with stony hilltops guarding some awesome gorges ; rich in history, this is also a land of medieval villages, magnificent castles and perfectly preserved bastide towns.

History and hiking, food and wine in the Midi Pyrenees
In a little over an hour from Toulouse you can stay at La Bouyague on the edge of the Gresigne Forest. The accommodation is comfortable, spacious and well equipped while hosts Roger and Nadine Gesquiere offer a wealth of local advice. Visit the beautifully preserved bastides like Bruniquel and Puycelsi and medieval villages like Penne or Saint Antonin-De-Val on market day. Try local Gaillac wines and visit nearby towns like Albi. One of the most enjoyable experiences is hiking in the forest. A week is barely enough to enjoy this very special part of France.
