Two gites available for rent, entirely renovated, and situated in the same small lane in a village of 200 souls in the Corbières (3 km from Lagrasse, officially one of the prettiest villages in France). One gite measures 140 sq m (1,500 sq ft) and sleeps six people; the other, at 80 sq m (900 sq ft), sleeps four. Fully furnished, fitted kitchen, separate loo and bathroom. The owners live in the village and are there to welcome you and answer all your questions. The village is situated in the heart of the Cathar country, within easy reach of the abbeys of Lagrasse and Fontfroide, the chateaux of Termes, Villerouge Termenes, Queribus and Peyrepertuse. 35 km from both Narbonne and Carcassonne; and the Mediterranean. Other excursions might include a visit to a winemaker's “cave”... An ideal base for families to enjoy the surrounding landscape of vineyards and the River Orbieu which is only a few dozen yards away. Unfortunately pets are not permitted.
