Rental - Holidays & weekends in Montpezat-de-Quercy

Molles, 685 Route des Briquetiers - Montpezat-de-Quercy

Welcome to Molles – an haven of peace and tranquillity, set in 30 acres of beautiful countryside only 3 km from the medieval village of Montpezat de Quercy that lies in the heart of South-West France. Here you can unwind by the pool or in the garden or go and explore the area, try out the restaurants or sample the local fruity wines (Vins de Quercy) which have recently been granted aoc status or other wines from Cahors, Gaillac or Fronton. For nature lovers here at Molles we have an orchid meadow that flowers in the Spring, golden orioles, bee-eaters, black redstarts, buzzards, kites and a multitude of colourful butterflies that visit in the summer and with roe deer, wild boar, red squirrels and martins to be found in the forest all year round when you try out the many walks in the area. Montpezat de Quercy with its ancient houses, ramparts and 14thC Collegiale, boasts 3 restaurants and a cafe that cater for those who want just a snack to those who enjoy fine dining. There are also a range of shops (including an excellent baker) and a small supermarket with larger supermarkets to be found in Caussade just 15 minutes away. There is so much to see and savour within a short distance from us, such as France's favourite village – Saint Cirq Lapopie, the caves at Pech-Merle, the Romanesque cloisters at Saint Peter's Abbey in Moissac, the various pigeonniers and gariottes (stone shelters for shepherds) to be seen almost everywhere on the Causse de Quercy (limestone plateau), the unesco world Heritage site around the cathedral and Toulouse-Lautrec museum in Albi, the food markets at Caussade, Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val and Montcuq, the black truffles found around Lalbenque with its famous truffle market every Tuesday between November and February, the deep 'black' wines of Cahors and the many village festivals where you can soak up the atmosphere by joining the local people for a meal served al fresco on long trestle tables.

La Petite Maison was formerly the stable for our Quercy Blanc farmhouse at Molles and has been carefully renovated and furnished to provide an attractive and comfortable dwelling, whilst retaining the charm and ambiance of the original building. The cottage is surrounded by gardens and meadows with great views over meadows and forest to the Lot.

The cottage comfortably accommodates 6 people. For more information see our website - http://www.mollesmontpezat.com

Thanks for a great and relaxing stay! We love the farm house and the area with so much to see and do
We had a great stay in La Petite Maison. The house is beautiful and comfortable and very well maintained, we felt wonderfully at home with such a large private garden. The patio is especially nice as we were able to bbq every night regardless of the weather, it is a great area to be outdoors. The area is lovely with a lot to do, also with small kids. Just staying around the house was also great as the kids loved to see the Alpacas, chickens, donkeys and peacocks as well as swim in the pool. I highly recommend for future visitors to pick up the key to the small medieval church from the local tourist office and go for a stroll through the forest to visit this beautiful little church. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
