Idyllic Cottage in Ercé, Ariège district of Pyrenees. 'Le reflet de la lune' (English : Under the Moonlight) is a typical rural gîte in the small village of Ercé, in the heart of the Pyrenees Regional Natural Park. I did restore myself this former barn in its original style with stone walls and slate roof. The little house situated in the middle of the village, but quietly behind my house in the second row. In the house and on the terraces one is on its own. Ercé is situated 650 meters above sea level and has 350 inhabitants. The slopes, covered by green forests, and green meadows along the river dominate the picture. The people live modestly, mostly of raising cattle. The car is parked in front of my house on a private parking, a small lane leads to the gîte (50 m) for pedestrians only. My name is Marie-Noëlle, I was born here and I would like to acquaint you with the unique and beautiful aspects of my home country. Description of the gîte.
