The Bouyssières

I must apologise profusely for Agnes or this very late review, esp as our stay in Creysse was one of the best we have ever had in many years of hiring gites in France, I hope she will forgive me - From meeting Agnes in Paris for a glass on wine and to hand her the remaining Deposit to leaving Les Bouyssieres two weeks later we were entranced with the whole experience - Les Bouyssieres became a quiet haven for us after some months on the road, we simply love the old home and the huge peaceful gardens, the wonderful outlook from every room, we spent many happy hours walking about, inspecting the growth of corn door, sitting in the many chairs placed about the property, eating breakfast, lunch and dinner on the two patios, which was enjoyed by our children who came down from their home in Paris for a long weekend - Nearby towns were a delight, we explored old and new haunts in Le Lot and Dordogne, so many interesting places, food to try and excellent wine - The main part of the home itself has the mix of old and new, the 2 bedrooms are possibly best for a family or two couples plus a child and having two bathrooms plus an extra toilet downstairs added to its ease, plus there is a lovely small sc part of the house if more bedrooms are needed, ideal for three couples (one bedroom has an extra bed in it) - We wanted for nothing with regard to amenities, very well set up for cooking at home, watching Tv etc (we enjoyed being able to occasionally watch the Paris Tennis Open during the day, as when home in Australia we have to watch it in the middle of the night!! Quite treat) games, and books, tourist info are provided - We could walk across the fields to a local farm to purchase their own Duck confit and other goodies, and to the dear little town about 10 mins walk away for dinner or to go down to the Dordogne itself - We thoroughly enjoyed at our stay at Les Bouyssieres, we can highly recommend a stay there and we do hope to return one day.
