Mas Brunet is situated in the middle of nature in a hilly and green landscape on a private property of 45 acres near the Tarn valley 32 km east of the city of Albi (department Tarn). In front of the estate is a big vegetable garden. There are many walking paths around the house. The river Tarn is at 1 km walking distance where you'll find Trébas with a few shops and restaurants. At 3 km. Peter bought Mas Brunet in 1976. The big former farm dating from the 17th century was at that time in a very bad shape. Today the main building and the gites are completely restored and equipped with all modern facilities. We did our best to preserve the original local style and used as much as possible the old building material and methods : slate, oak beams,, slate roofs, wooden windows and shutters. In summer you can find cooling in and around the beautiful spring with its 3 arches or go swimmming in the Tarn, where you can also canoe. (canoes for rent). Also in low season it is very pleasant at Mas Brunet. The climate is moderate, the gites are located south and are equipped with e wood stove and have central heating. Internet in all gîtes via cpl (bring your own labtop). Furthermore you can use the piano in the music room of the main house. There is also a well equipped library. Bed and breakfast and meals possible on request. This is the place to be if you love silence and nature. At night there is no light in the wide vicinity, except the millions of stars. Where does that still exists ? Mas Brunet : gîte 2 persons is a simple and pleasant small gite on the first floor next to the main building with a splendid view direction Tarn valley. A small terrace with table, 2 chairs and a parasol. Below : cellar with washing machine and freezer. Lazy garden chairs. First floor : a small living with kitchen corner. Table and 3 chairs, bench, tv, 2 fire gas cooker, little oven, coffee machine. Small wood stove. Central heating. Wood stock in the adjacent shed. Second floor : bed room under the roof with skylight. 1 twin bed. Internet via cpl. Equipement. Living area with kitchen corner. Attic with big double bed. Bath room (shower, toilet) - Mini terrace with table and chairs. Tv. Internet. Disposition of washing machine.
