Studios de soizick, en bord de loire

We found this studio accommodation very comfortable, convenient and with a superb view of Chateau Amboise across the river. Hostess Soizick is very friendly, is multilingual and very helpful. I have stayed here many times, and would recommend it wholeheartedly to any traveller wishing to explore the historical Loire area and its many chateaux.

It was a beautiful vacation, one we never will forget and we surely go back to the Studios de Soizick. Such a very lovely place, a garden with lots of flowers, a nice house beside the Loire with a marvellous view at the castle of Amboise. The studio was very cosy, with everything in it and very clean. We felt immediatly like home. When we had a question misses Soizick was always nearby and was always friendly and happy to help us.

In October we spent a week in Amboise and visited 12 main castles. The studio is located in a walking distance from the chateau of Amboise and Clos Lucé and also in a center position of the most impressive area between Chambord and Chinon (max. 50 km driving). There was a good set of kitchen equipment available, we did not miss anything. Madame Soizick helped a lot with informations in advance via e-mail as well as with tourist maps and brochures after arriving. We felt comfortable, had a nice stay and returned with great experience from the Loire valley.

Situated in a quiet cul de sac in walking distance to the centre of Amboise this self catereing apartement offers beautiful views across the Loire towards the Castle. It is a pleasure to dine in the lovely and secluded patio area. A butcher and a baker are only a stone's throw away. Madame Soizick is very hospitible and generous host and the property is very tidy.

The location of this studio was everything you could hope for. 5 minutes from the Chateau D'Amboise and the town, and ideally situated for exploring this region of the Loire. Soizick the owner was absolutely charming and extremely helpful with local information, recommending some wonderful restaurants, especially L'Epicerie in Amboise opposite the Chateau and a little further away the Chateau Beaulieu on the outskirts of Tours for Dejeuner D'Affaires amazing, a gastronomic delight. Comfortable clean accommodation, excellent shower and lovely terrace with Hibiscus, honeysuckle, passionflower, very pretty. 5 minutes to the SNCF station if you don't want to take your car, we went to Tours, 15 minutes away by train. Excellent Cave at Vouvray with wine tour and chance to purchase wines to take home. Recommend the Cremant De Loire sparkling and any of the Vouvray wines. We travelled from Caen it took approx 3 hours with 2 stops, hardly any traffic, especially the new road, but tolls are payable, well worth it, much nicer than driving in England. By far the best thing in Amboise was the Clos De Luce where Leonardo Da Vinci used to live, charming manor house and lovely grounds with some of his working models in the gardens and on show. Chateau De Chenonceau and Chateau De Chinon well worth a visit. All in all a delightful holiday, we will definitely return to do the east of the Loire.
