At the bottom of the Vosges massif, the 170-kilometre long Wine Trail is an excellent way to discover Alsace and its traditions. This prestigious road, going from Thann (Haut-Rhin) to Marlenheim (Bas-Rhin), is indeed lined with charming floral villages, wine cellars, good inns, authentic winstubs (typical Alsatian restaurants) and numerous castles. The vineyards can also be explored on foot along pretty dedicated footpaths introducing visitors to the various grape varieties and wine-making techniques.

The Wine Trail in the Haut-Rhin goes from Thann to Bergheim and offers beautiful landscapes of hills covered with vineyards. The route is also lined with beautiful villages full of colourful houses decorated with flowers such as Gueberschwihr, Eguisheim, Niedermorschwihr, Turckheim, Kaysersberg, and Riquewihr.

Wine is celebrated during numerous wine festivals and fairs that take place in Colmar, Ribeauvillé, Ammerschwihr, Eguisheim, Guebwiller, and Turckheim.
