Listed as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France, Vouvant possesses a magnificent Romanesque church with a richly carved portal. The ramparts, the postern, the ancient bridge spanning the river and the Mélusine tower - remains of the former castle which according to the legend would have been built in one night by the Mélusine fairy - contribute to the charm of this small town.
