Famous for its health-giving water, the town of Vichy is also known for its flavoured pastilles: the famous Vichy pastilles have digestive properties and were once very popular with the Empress Eugenie. These refreshing white, octagonal sweets have been made since 1825, and are made of mineral salts from the mineral water of the spa resort, sugar, glucose syrup and natural mint, lemon and aniseed flavours. A good way for food-lovers to combine a tasty treat with digestive benefits!
