Nestling in the Chevreuse valley on the edge of the Rambouillet forest, the former Cistercian abbey of Vaux-de-Cernay, that today houses a hotel, combines charm and elegance. Surrounding it is a romantic park that is home to a tranquil lake, the remains of the 12th-century abbey, a Monks Room with a fantastic rib-vaulted ceiling, St Thibault fountain and a dovecote.
