The biggest lake in Limousin, the Vassivière lake is situated in the north of the Regional Nature Park of Millevaches in Limousin and extends over the départements of the Creuse and the Haute-Vienne. Nestling in a haven of green near the village of Royère-de-Vassivière, this lake benefits from an unspoiled natural environment. Basking on one of its sandy beaches or enjoying water sports activities in a wonderful wooded setting is a real delight!

1000 hectares in size, the lake offers a varied range of leisure activities, from sailing to canoeing through fishing, bathing, pedal-boating and water-skiing! And art lovers are also catered for because Vassivière island is home to a contemporary art and landscape centre, the Centre International d'Art et du Paysage, and a sculpture park.
