The biggest lake in Limousin, the Vassivière lake is situated in the north of the Regional Nature Park of Millevaches in Limousin and extends over the départements of the Creuse and the Haute-Vienne. Nestling in a haven of green countryside near the village of Beaumont-du-Lac, this lake benefits from an unspoiled natural environment. Lazing on one of its sandy beaches or enjoying water-based activities in this wonderful wooded setting is a real joy!

1000 hectares in size, the lake offers a varied range of leisure activities, from sailing to canoeing through fishing, bathing, pedal-boating and water-skiing! And art lovers are also catered for because Vassivière island is home to a contemporary art and landscape centre, the Centre International d'Art et du Paysage, and a sculpture park.
