Nestling in the heart of Écrins National Park in an incredibly beautiful natural setting, the charming village of Vallouise has preserved its traditional architecture, which includes typical houses with wooden balconies and picturesque fountains. Decorated with frescoes, the 15th-century Saint-Étienne church is home to a Pietà in polychrome wood and a Baroque altarpiece. The chapel of the Pénitents, located in the same square as the church, features pretty wall paintings.

Snow sports fans can devote themselves to their favourite activity at the winter sports resort of Puy-Saint-Vincent, 5 km from Vallouise.
