At the end of the Central Massif, the Upper Languedoc Regional Nature Park extends over 260,000 hectares and covers two départements: the Tarn and the Hérault.

In the Tarn, the park protects unusual places and varied landscapes: granite blocks carved by erosion in Sidobre, a lakes plateau great for water sports and leisure activities, the Lacaune mountains, and the Black Mountain (Montagne Noire) with its spruces, beeches and oaks forests. This protected area, reaching 1,267 metres at its highest point, allows for both natural places of interest to discover and sports activities like hiking.
