The location of an ancient abbey and favourite holiday destination of King Francis I's sister Marguerite of Angoulême, Tusson is a charming village that has preserved its heritage and kept a number of beautiful old restored residences. Among them can be found Marguerite of Angoulême's lodge dating from the 16th century, which today houses the Maison du Patrimoine (heritage museum).
