It is in the Tricastin region, an area covering the south of the Drôme and the north of the Vaucluse, that the famous "black diamond" grows, a truffle awarded the AOC quality label. The key to successful truffle growing is the right climate, soil and host tree (oak). Truffles are gathered between November and March.

The House of the Truffle and Tricastin:

You can discover the Tricastin truffle at Maison de la Truffe and Tricastin in Saint-Paul-Trois-Chateaux, in the Drome.
Audio-guided tour - The exhibition is a shrine dedicated to the Tuber melanosporum: 7 rooms, many panels, videos, documents and drawings can help you better understand the mystery of the "black diamond".
Temporary Exhibitions - The House of the Truffle and Tricastin also exposes the works of regional artists and artisans (paintings, sculpture, pottery, crafts of yesteryear ...).
