Several villages have preserved their typically Alsatian aspect in the North of the Bas-Rhin. Houses there are white and half-timbered. Several villages are really worth a visit, such as Hunspach, listed as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France, Hoffen and Seebach. Windows and balconies of the houses are naturally decorated with geraniums. All these villages are very well-preserved.
