Built in the 11th century and then fortified in the 12th century, the Talmont-Saint-Hilaire castle is a real medieval fortress that was the residence of the king Richard I of England. Open to visitors, the Talmont castle offers medieval animations in the summer. And from June until September, the fortress is adorned with lights and projected images during the Nights of Richard I of England.
