The city of Mirecourt was founded during the first millennium. It became, through the centuries, one of the richest towns in the Duchy of Lorraine through a large trading activity. It still made of lace including the home of lace. It is also an important center of stringed instruments since the 17th century, claims to Mirecourt worthy heir of the Stradivari family. A school of violin making has been created in 1970 by Etienne Vatelot. You will discover the house of lace, the home of Mechanical Music Museum and the violin and bow making.
