Founded in the 7th century by saint Éloi, the Solignac abbey was destroyed and rebuilt several times, and has preserved of this turbulent past a magnificent Romanesque church dating from the 12th century. Inside, domes, capitals decorated with sculptures and magnificent carved stalls of the 15th century are offered to visitors.
