The diverse ski resorts in the Alpes-Maritimes are naturally great for skiing, but also for walking with snowshoes in the winter. The rest of the year, these sports are replaced by hiking and mountain biking. In the summer, the mountain air cools you down a bit when days get warmer on the coast.

The most famous ski resorts of the Alpes-Maritomes are Auron, Isola 2000, Valberg, Beuil, Gréolières-les-Neiges and Colmiane-Valdeblore.
