The Massif du Sidobre mountain area boasts some unusual scenery in the form of originally-shaped granite boulders. The must-see sites are Peyro Clabado (a granite boulder balanced on a pedestal), Chaos de la Resse (a boulder river), Merle lake and Roc de l'Oie (goose rock) and Trois Fromages (three cheeses rock).

This plateau is also home to granite quarries. Once extracted, granite is used in funeral art, interior decoration and construction.
