Between lakes and mountains, the Savoy vineyards extends over several départements over 2000 hectares: the Savoy mainly, but also the Upper Savoy, the Isère and the Ain. The Savoyard vineyards produces 4 wines with an AOC quality label, that are Vins de Savoie, Crépy, Seysel and Roussette de Savoie, representing 22 vineyards (Abymes, Apremont, Arbin, Ayze, Bergeron, Chautagne, Chignin, Crépy, Cruet, Frangy, Jongieux, Marestel, Marignan, Marin, Monterminod, Monthoud, Montmélian, Pétillant de Savoie, Ripaille, Saint-Jean-de-la-Porte, Saint-Jeoire-Prieuré, and Seysel). These wines are white for the most part and taste marvelously well with cheeses and gastronomic specialities of the Savoy.
