The city can be discovered with the 18th-century Rohan castle. The building contains today a museum dedicated to archaeology, art and history. The Grand'Rue (high street) is lined with beautiful old half-timbered houses, the most famous being the Katz house with carved beams.

In the surroundings, the Haut-Barr castle offers a beautiful panoramic view of the city of Saverne, and when the weather allows it, even a view of the spire of the Strasbourg cathedral!
