Perched on its rock, the medieval town overhangs the Rizzanèse valley. Its 16th-century watch tower is all that remains of the town's ancient ramparts. The grey granite houses of the old town form a harmonious architectural whole. The arched passages are picturesque and the narrow streets are paved with beautiful granite stones.
The Sartène vineyards are renowned for their wine carrying the AOC quality label.
