The Noirmoutier island is famous for its salterns and its sea salt. Harvested by craftsman by sauniers, salt and salt flower from Noirmoutier is particularly rich in mineral.

Used for cooking in numerous recipes, such as fish in salt crust for example, the Noirmoutier salt is also part of certain culinary specialities, such as the Noirmoutier salt butter and the vendean brioche.

The subtle violet taste of salt flower will accompany marvelously well grills, fishes, potatoes, vegetables and salads.
