The mythical village of Saint-Tropez, made famous by the actress Brigitte Bardot, attracts celebrities and visitors from the whole world. Quiet and authentic from autumn to spring, this former fishermen's village becomes in the summer a renowned seaside resort, with its lively port full of luxurious sailboats and yachts, its cafe terraces, its creators' shops, and its nightclubs. Guaranteed festive and summer atmosphere! The picturesque port, lined with colourful facades, the typical Ponche district, and the Lices square, so appreciated by pétanque player, participate to the charm of the village.
From the ramparts of the citadel, the view of the lovely bell tower of the church and its lively colours, the roofs of the village, and the Saint-Tropez bay is magnificent. Not to be missed, the Annonciade museum situated in the Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciade chapel exhibits a collection of paintings dating from the end of the XIXth century and the beginning of the XXth century.
The 'bravades', a traditional celebration taking place in May and in June, honors the military and religious past of the village. In October, during the 'Voiles de Saint-Tropez', the bay welcomes the most beautiful classic and modern sailboats.
