Nestling between the cliffs and the Rhone, the village of Saint-Sorlin-en-Bugey, nicknamed the village of roses after the many rose trees that adorn its streets, has kept a number of old houses. The hill leading up to the church, a traditional street lined with floral facades, will take you to the Church of St. Mary Magdalene and its surrounding area, where you will have a beautiful view of the countryside all around.

As you stroll up the hill to the church, don't forget to admire the superb 16th-century fresco of St. Christopher on one of the façades!
